Academic Philosophy
We believe the Bible clearly teaches that the responsibility of rearing children belongs to the parent. (Proverbs 22:6, Eph. 6:4, II Timothy 3:16-17)
Calvary Christian School was founded by Calvary Church of Santa Ana for the purpose of assisting families in the rearing of their children by providing a strong academic program that is integrated with biblical instruction and merges faith and learning. Our goal is to develop the whole child spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially. It is our desire that all young people make a personal commitment to Jesus Christ while at Calvary, if they have not already done so before entrance.
Educating the whole child necessitates three important forces in the child’s life: the home, church and Christian school. The working together of all three of these provide a much greater assurance of raising up Christian young people who will be positive Christian role models for their world. It would ultimately be our desire that our Christian educational program at CCS bring the students into a proper relationship with their Creator, assist them in seeking His will in their lives, and give Him honor and glory.
