TEN BOOM F.A.Q.

What is Corrie ten Boom's story?

A half-century ago in war-torn Europe, an unforgettable story emerged out of the Nazi occupation of Holland. In obedience to God, a watch-making family named ‘ten Boom’ joined the noble resistance movement to save the lives of innocent Jews. Corrie ten Boom and her family faced arrest and Nazi concentration camp with extraordinary courage to do what was right, no matter the cost. Her story of oppression, imprisonment, release and forgiveness is preserved in the best-selling classic, The Hiding Place.

The above photograph is of Corrie and her family taken in 1902, Corrie is on the extreme right.

How do I get tickets, and how much are they?
Tickets are given for a $5 donation, and are available on Sunday mornings in the lobby (beginning March 17), or at the door before the production, with cash or check made out to Calvary Church.

Can I use a credit card for tickets?
Yes, but only at THE CORNER BOOKSTORE during regular hours, and each ticket subject to a $1.00 processing fee.

Can I reserve seats?
Only in person right before the performance... the tickets are “general seating”, and doors will open 30 minutes before start time.

How long is the production?
It runs about 140 minutes and will also have an intermission with refreshments (for donation), so plan on at least 2 ½ hours.

Is this a typical church choir musical?
No. It’s in the style of musical theater… acting, dancing, singing, live orchestra, stage set with props and costumes, interesting characters, comedy, media, sound/lighting. Ten Boom – The Musical is a brand new, original production written by Calvary’s own Kris Bromberger and Ron Rogalski, presented by a very talented volunteer cast and crew.

What about kids?
Though not geared specifically for children, this is a dramatic, impacting story that’s appropriate for 4th grade and up. There is a “cry room” available for families with nursing infants.

Is there free parking?
Yes. The parking areas off Fruit St. and Wellington Ave. are both available and patrolled by volunteer security staff.
