What to Expect
Here’s what to expect on a typical Sunday morning at Calvary Church…
What are the times of your Sunday morning worship services?
Our worship services start at 8:45am (Celebration) and 10:45am (Elevation), we recommend arriving early so that you will have plenty of time to park, pick up information about the church and find a seat. There are also services in Spanish (Renovacion at 10:30 am in the Chapel) and in Mandarin (Logos Bible Church at 10:45am in the Gym).
A few times a year, we have a One Service Sunday at 10 am in the Worship Center - you can find out when the next One Service is here.

When driving to Calvary you’ll notice:
We have 2 Parking Lots available for parking
o North Parking Lot: Enter on Wellington Ave.
o South Parking Lot: Enter on Fruit St.

When you arrive on campus you’ll notice:
Our Greeters. Each Greeter has a sheet with a map of the campus on one side and a listing of all children’s and adult LifeGroups on the other and can assist you in finding whatever group or worship service for which you might be looking.

In addition, you’ll also notice:
A small welcome tent in front of the largest building, the Worship Center, where we hold our two main worship services. This tent is designed to help visitors and is staffed by volunteers who are glad to help in any way. Come here to ask questions, pick up information about the many activities offered here at Calvary Church and receive a gift certificate for a free coffee at our Corner Bookstore café.

What are the difference between the 8:45 am and 10:45 am services?
Our Celebration service begins at 8:45 am and uses a dynamic blend of hymns and praise songs and offers a relevant Bible teaching from our senior Pastor, David Mitchell.
Our Elevation service begins at 10:45 am and features louder, passionate music in a modern style with biblical teaching by a team of pastors.
We also offer a variety of LifeGroups at 8:45am and 10:45am for more personal teaching and ministry for children and adults of all ages.

What will I experience in the worship service?
Both worship services use elements of music and teaching from the Bible that often incorporate helpful stories, video and drama. We do not point out our visitors nor ask them to stand, but we do encourage our guests to fully participate in the worship service.
Each seat has a Bible, “The Card ”, a pen and an offering envelope to help you participate. If you need a Bible to take home, please take the one at your seat, as our free gift to you.
The words for all of the songs we sing as a group are shown on the large video screens.
We also have a voluntary monetary offering each service which is designed for our regular attenders. As a visitor, please feel no pressure to participate in this, but we would like you to fill out a “The Card ” and place it in the offering so that we can get to know you and answer any questions you may have about our church.

One final note - our worship services tend to run about 75-80 minutes with a 45 minute break between the 8:45 am service (Celebration) and 10:45 am service (Elevation).

We hope to see you here at Calvary soon!
