The Art of Neighboring
Sundays at 11:00am in A-205
October 14 - November 18
Jesus was asked to sum up the entire Torah, or all of God's Law. His reply was one big idea, in two simple parts: to love God with everything we have and to love our neighbors as ourselves. (Matthew 22:36-40) Most of us have turned this foundational idea of loving our neighbors into a nice saying, putting it on bumperstickers and refrigerator magnets and then going on with our lives without actually putting it into practice. What would happen if every follower of Jesus took the Great Commandment literally?
Is it possible that the solution to our society’s biggest issues has been right under our noses for the past two thousand years? What if Jesus meant that we should love our actual neighbors? Join us for thought-provoking and practical discussions that could transform not only your life but also your community in this 6-week Workshop exploring how we can love God and others by becoming better neighbors.
