Global Missions Meetings and Classes

"Perspectives on the World Christian Movement"
The Perspectives class is a requirement for missionary service at Calvary Church through our Future Missionary Focus program. It is being offered at two different locations beginning in January. This is a course in which the students can interact with many of today's most dynamic and thoughtful cross-cultural thinkers.
Perspectives helps believers from all walks of life see how they can get threaded into God’s story of redeeming people from every tribe, tongue, and nation to Himself. From Genesis to the prophets, Jesus Christ to the early church, and Constantine to today, you will see how God has been moving, how the global Church has responded, and what the greatest needs in world evangelization remain today. It isn’t a class about missions, but a course on how every believer can be intimately woven into the story of God using His people to be a blessing to all the peoples of the earth.
Both churches have an exciting list of speakers presenting lectures each week to the attendees. The class is broken down into Biblical, Historical, Cultural, and Strategic Perspectives over several weeks. The classes can be taken for college credit -either undergraduate or graduate.
More information can be found by going on the Perspectives web site www.perspectives.org.
This class is a great resource for anyone interested in missions or Global outreach particularly for those interested in becoming a missionary, being on a missions committee, or part of a church plant. If you are signed up for Calvary’s Future Missionary Focus program, there is a partial scholarship available toward the course.
