Orphan Sunday
On Sunday, November 6, 2011 churches across America and all over the world are gathering to celebrate what God is doing in the lives of the fatherless, and listening for what God is calling us to do in response.
Join us at Calvary in the Worship Center in Celebration at 8:45 am or Elevation at 10:45 am for a special focus moment as we stand up for the orphan. We'll be continuing our current series Rooted on Colossians 3:13-17 with Rooted: Identity. It is out of our identity in Christ as "those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved" that we respond with a life of worship and service for God.
How will you respond?
Will you...
- Commit one dinner prayer out of the week to pray for orphans?
- Consider being a foster or adoptive family?
- Plan a car wash to raise money for orphans?
- Think about being a mentor to foster youth "aging-out" of the foster care system?
- Volunteer at a local agency serving global orphans or foster children?
