Dear Calvary Family,

Get ready! We start a new series this Sunday! That’s actually what the series is called - Get Ready. And it’s all about preparation. John the Baptist preparing the way for Jesus. Jesus preparing for his three years of ministry through his baptism, fasting, prayer, temptation and more. And our need to prepare ourselves for encountering God.

And don’t get me wrong, we don’t need to earn salvation or earn God’s love. That’s not what I mean by preparation. But if Jesus took the time and energy to be baptized, to fast, to pray, to spend time alone, and to resist temptation—then we can absolutely prepare our hearts for worship and service to a holy God.

What is God calling you to get ready for in your life? What is he calling us to get ready for as a church? I invite you to come and join us each Sunday morning for GET READY, learning from the life of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke 3-4.
