Dear Calvary Family,

We are at the half way point through the summer and I have a few things for you to consider this week:

Pray for Students at Camp

Please be praying for all of our Middle School and High School students who are at Hume Lake Christian Camp this week. This is a week where God moves in the lives of our students in radical ways. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to be working in each of them uniquely. They return on Saturday, July 17. On that same Saturday, our College students leave for their Houseboat trip. Please pray in the same way for them.

Be Baptized at the beach

Have you trusted in Jesus, but never been baptized? Come learn about this important next step as a follower of Jesus at a one-hour class where we’ll explore biblical insights into the method and meaning of baptism. Join the class at 11:00am on July 25 or August 1 so you can prepare to take part in the baptisms taking place on August 4 at Corona Del Mar. 
There will also be baptism classes specifically designed for the next generation: 9th-12th Grade on July 18 at 12:30pm; 6th-8th Grade on July 25 at 9:00am; and Kids on August 1 at 11:00am. Learn more at CalvaryLife.org/Baptism

Help Lead Others in Community this Fall

Calvary has a long history of pouring into people and encouraging them on their journeys with Jesus. To be a healthy church body, we need to be people that are growing in our intimacy with Jesus and the knowledge of His love for us, as well as showing other people that that is Jesus’ heart for them. One of the ways we can achieve this is leading others in LifeGroups, helping people hear God’s voice in their lives and helping them move towards an understanding of what it means to follow him. JOIN US ON A TRIP TO THE HOLY LAND in 2022

Calvary is going to Israel and Jordan in 2022 and we would love for you to join us! This trip will completely change the way you understand the Bible because you will experience the land and stories in a whole new way. You will be able to visit sites like Mt Nebo, the Negev desert, Capernaum, the Sea of Galilee, the Temple Mount, Bethlehem, Petra, Mt Carmel, and so much more. Come to Calvary this Sunday at 9:00am

See you this Sunday morning as we continue our Worth The Risk series in 2 Timothy. We'll have a great message from Pastor Matt Doan on 2 Timothy 3:10-15, featuring a special video interview he did with Pastor Farshid Fathi. Come hear about his journey as a follower of Jesus in Iran and the nearly 5 years he spent in prison for his faith.
