Will you join me in praying for this?

2/5/20 | The Weekly | by Eric Wakeling

    Dear Calvary Family,

I wanted to take a moment to talk about 10:02 prayer and a special version of that on February 10th.

I've asked you to join me in praying everyday at 10:02 (you can choose AM or PM but I'm asleep by PM most of the time) a prayer based on Luke 10:2 where Jesus says,

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field."

Jesus tells them this right as he is sending THEM out to share the gospel of His kingdom with people, even people hostile to their message.

So we join in that prayer every day at 10:02 to ask God to send workers into the harvest. We ask God to send us and give us opportunities to share the good news of Jesus with others. We ask God to send missionaries around the world to proclaim the message of the gospel. Please set an alert and join us as we move toward the Easter season very soon.

We also want to challenge you to a special day of prayer with the agency that taught us about this 10:02 prayer - Greater Europe Mission. One of our key vision initiatives for global missions is to Reach Europe because Europe is only 2% reached with the true gospel. Europe also has an incredible opportunity for the gospel to share with the millions of refugees from hard to reach, Muslim nations who are now in places that any of us can go.

Greater Europe Mission is having a special day of prayer for Europe on Monday, February 10th. That's 2/10/2020 so it's the reverse of 10:2 and memorable for us.

You can go to www.gemission.org and sign up for a reminder and some prayer prompts there. Please join us as we pray for Jesus to be known here in Orange County, Europe, and to the ends of the earth.

May the Lord bless you and keep you,

    Pastor Eric Wakeling
