“But select from all the people some capable, honest men who fear God and hate bribes. Appoint them as leaders over groups of one thousand, one hundred, fifty, and ten.” Exodus 18:21

Voter guides do not tell readers for whom they should vote. Rather, the Voter Guide simply provides a candidate comparison based on candidates’ responses to survey questions.

It is our prayer that you will vote and use this voter guide to select men and women who fear God, align with Jesus Christ, and are directed by the word of God.

As Christians, we have "Dual Citizenship"

The apostle Paul writes in Philippians 3:20, For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”  We seek first God's kingdom above all else, following the will and ways of Jesus as King.

We also have been placed by God as a citizen in the nation and neighborhood where we currently live according to Paul’s words in Acts 17:26, and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation.”

Our Dual Citizenship guides our attitudes and engagement in civic life

Our “dual citizenship” as Christians means our faith in Jesus guides our attitudes and engagement in every area of life, including public policy and political engagement. We are to “think biblically” about the policies and people we support. "O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8

We are to stand for biblical righteousness and justice with the character of humility as described in Ephesians 4:1-3, “walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”  Our ultimate prayer is for God’s will to be done and for Jesus to be glorified in our neighborhoods and nation!
