FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the highlight of Calvary Christian School?

CCS is a Kindergarten through 8th grade program that prepares students for admission to the top high schools in the area. There is an excellent support program for students with different learning styles. Our education is centered around the teachings of Jesus Christ. We are accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges).

What should I expect in the classroom?

CCS maintains an 18:1 student to teacher ratio (on average). You can expect a class of enthusiastic students who study curriculum taught with a biblical worldview.

Does CCS issue I-20s for students to apply for a visa?

Yes, this school is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.

Do you enroll students mid-year (i.e. spring semester)?

The school year begins in mid-August and continues through early June. We will consider admissions of an international student mid-year if there is space in the grade requested.

Does CCS Provide English Language Support?

Applicants will be assessed by Zoom interview and must have a base level of English to complete the interview. Students may need tutoring to the core classes for an additional fee. This can be done as one of their elective periods depending on what grade level the student is in.

How many students do you have and where are they from?

CCS enrolls approximately 300 students in grades K through 8th. We have several international students who attend our school each year. Most of our international students are from South Korea.
