VBS BRiDGE!
At Calvary Church, we want all children, regardless of ability, to hear about Jesus’ love for them. We recognize that our regular VBS program may be overwhelming for certain children, creating obstacles for them to hear and enjoy the message of the Gospel. In an effort to overcome some of these obstacles and effectively reach these children, we offer an option called VBS-BRiDGE!.
Participants will experience most of their activities in their own special area, eliminating fast transitions around the campus and decreasing the sensory overload that often creates unrest for these kids. The schedule of activities will be designed with special attention to the needs of these children. In addition, a high staff-to-child ratio and sensory break rooms will be provided to support these kids as well. We envision that children diagnosed with sensory integration dysfunction, autism or severe ADHD may enjoy VBS-BRiDGE!
We are limiting enrollment to 10 children entering 1st-6th grade (Fall 2011) in order to create a quality program for these children. For further information regarding attending or serving in VBS-BRiDGE!, please contact Regina Garriott at regitoys@aol.com or 714-921-4510.
