CONNECTION MINISTRIES
- Parking Lot Hosts
Greet Visitors and Attenders as they park and arrive on our campus.
- Sunday Morning Hospitality
Friendly individuals who love to meet new people, help others find information and classes they might be looking for & greet those who are here to worship our amazing God.
- Worship Service Ushers (Celebration 8:45 or Elevation 10:45)
Hand out bulletins, pass communion, offering, create an environment of community within the worship service
CHILDRENS’ MINISTRIES
- Nursery Volunteer
Care for and teach babies and/or toddlers. Commitment: Once a month, twice a month, or every week on Sunday mornings
- Preschool/Kindergarten Teacher
Lead small class of children in Sunday school lesson, craft, activities, playground time. Supervise/direct adult helpers or teens serving with you as well. All materials provided; must have a heart for this age group (3's,4's,5's) Commitment: Every week or Every other week
- Preschool/Kindergarten Helper
Help and support lead teacher in a Sunday school classroom on Sunday mornings. Must have a heart for this age group ( 3's, 4's or 5's)
Commitment: Every week or Every other week, Sept thru Sept
- Preschool/Kindergarten Helper
Help and support lead teacher in our Preschool/K program on Wednesday nights. Must have a heart for 3-5 yr olds. Commitment: Every week on Wed. nights, Sept thru June
- 1st-4th Grade Greeter (Sunday Morning/Wednesday Night)
Welcome families and check children in and out; assist with name tags and visitor registration. Commitment: 1 service per week
- 1st-4th Grade Team Leader (1st Service)
Lead kids and volunteers in active, larger group Bible learning. Commitment: 1 service per week
- 1st-4th Grade LifeGroup Leader (2nd Service)
Help kids grow in their faith and in relationship to each other in a small group setting. Commitment: 1 service per week
- 1st-4th Grade LifeGroup Leaders (Wednesday Night)
Help kids grow in their faith and in relationship to each other in a small group setting Commitment: 1 service per week
- 5th & 6th Grade Leader
Help to greet kids as they arrive, lead activities, do announcements or lead a LifeGroup Commitment: every week on Sunday mornings and/or at special 5th & 6th grade events
STUDENT MINISTRIES
- Jr. High Staff Volunteer
LifeGroup Leader, investing in the lives of students. Commitment: 1 year +
- High School Staff Volunteer (especially MEN)

- College Staff Volunteer
LifeGroup Leader, investing in the lives of students. Commitment: 1 year +
LIFEGROUPS
- Leader
Facilitate a discussion of God's Word with a small group of people. Help keep the group informed of meetings and what they need to do to prepare for the next meeting. Commitment: 10 months (renewable annually)
- Host Home
Open your home to a LifeGroup to meet and help coordinate refreshments. Commitment: 10 months (renewable annually)
HOPE FOR OUR MARRIAGE
- Encourager Couples
Do you have a heart for hurting married couples? We have an urgent need for marriage mentor/encourager couples to reach out and minister to the hurting couples of our church and community.
MISSIONS
- Missionary Housing Or Loaner Car
During Missions Conference in March we need housing for 1-10 nights for singles and families. For Missions Emphasis Weekend in October we need housing for 1-3 nights for singles and families.
- Missions Conference Prop set up/tear down
Set up and tear down of props for March Missions Conference.
- Kitchen assistance
Help is needed with large meals served at church, especially Conference in March and Labor Day weekend.
GODS HOUSE CARE
- Monday mornings help a team of people clean and restock the Worship Center.
VOLUNTEERS IN PASTORAL SERVICE (VIPS)
- During the week mature, spiritual volunteers who assist those desiring prayer and or counsel either in person or over the telephone.
MEDICAL AID TEAM
- Licensed medical personnel such as RNs, Paramedics, M.D.s for the Medical Aid Team.
SECURITY TEAM
- The Security Team provides protection for Calvary Church parking lots on Sunday mornings and for special church events.
STEWARDSHIP MINISTRIES
- Budget Coach
Coach families needing financial guidance utilizing Crown biblical stewardship principles.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY
- Set-up and tear-down, Small Group Leaders, Greeters, and Hospitality.
WORSHIP & CREATIVE ARTS MINISTRIES
- Instrumentalist & Vocalist
Playing or Singing in a group/band or solo to support worship services and special events. Commitment: a few times a month or less with flexible schedule, depending on which services/events.
- Celebration Choir
rehearsals every Thursday night from 7 –9 pm, Celebration services most Sundays.
- Tech Ministries
For those experienced or novice, to help with the setup, operation, and tear down of audio, video, and lighting systems for Sunday morning Celebration and Elevation services as well as other opportunities throughout the week for different ministries including 5th and 6th, Jr. High, and High School.
- Media
Photographers, camera operators, video editors, lighting & audio engineers needed on a per project basis.
- Art Festival
In February helping with details, registration, and set-up of this 3 day event displaying fine art in our Worship Center Lobby.
- Series & Holiday Displays/Sets/Decoration
Helping on a per project basis (6 times a year) with concept of designs that emphasize the upcoming teaching series/season, work days to paint, construct, and install in our Worship Center Stage and Lobby.
- Elevation Response Stations
Most Sunday mornings between services to set up response stations around the room and tear down after Elevation. Stations include a table, cloth, communion and offering buckets.
- Artist
Occasionally we have ideas to help emphasize a teaching in our services and we contact our artists to see if they are available to help contribute. Graphics, web, painting, drawing, building, writing, shooting, editing, acting, singing, decorating… small and big projects.
- Costume & Prop Storage
Organize and maintain props and costumes in storage.
- Special Events & Productions
Ticket Sellers - on Sunday Mornings and at the door
Food Coordinator - for Meals or Dessert at events, recruiting and working with volunteers, caterer and facilities.
Stage Hand/Manager - Tear down and set up for special events and rehearsals.
Set & Prop Builders - help construct, paint and bring to life the look and feel of productions.
Back Stage Monitor - to lead the kids for their stage entrances and back stage activities during rehearsals and performances.
WEDDINGS AT CALVARY
- If your gifts & talents are in details and you enjoy people then being a Wedding Hostess or a wedding Reception Hostess is a way for you to connect here at Calvary.
WOMEN’S MINISTRIES
- Teaching/facilitating a Women’s LifeGroup (after training)
Commitment: 1 year, weekly or bi-monthly
- Mentoring
Walk alongside another woman to support her in life and her relationship with the Lord. Commitment: 1 year, monthly meeting, weekly contact
- Transportation (for shut-ins, ill women, women without cars)
Provide a ride to appointment, shopping etc. Commitment: one-time
- Childcare
Serve in the Nursery during Women’s LifeGroup meetings or provide childcare for moms in need of babysitting. Commitment: 1 year commitment, weekly or bi-monthly, occasionally
- Prayer Ministry
Pray for Women’s Ministries on a consistent basis, raise up other prayer warriors to do the same. Commitment: flexible
SENIOR ADULT MINISTRIES (SAM)
- Event Committee
Meet once a month with others to plan and facilitate senior activities.
- SAM Dinners
Held once a month, help is needed with set-up, clean up, greeting, and decorating tables,
- Phone Calls & Visitations
Assist in making phone calls to seniors each month for prayer requests, find out how each person is doing, and updates on illnesses or shut-ins.
- Mentoring or Discipling
Senior Men and Women are needed to pour into the lives of our younger generation.
GENERAL OFFICE HELP
- Receptionist Lunch Coverage
Answer Calvary Church main phone for one hour Monday - Friday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
Commitment: One day a week or as many days as you can serve - 3 to 6 month commitment
- Receptionist Vacation Coverage
Answer Calvary Church main phone Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - One hour lunch break. Commitment: One day a week or as many days as you can serve - As needed only
- Support Ministry
Assist on a weekly or as needed basis with mailings, and assembling bulletins for Sundays.
- Occasional Help:
Missions: in March before Missions Conference.
Lay Counseling Ministry: occasional need; approximately 2 hours at a time.
Women’s Ministries: occasional need
Bookstore and Cafe:
Volunteers are a vital piece of this thriving ministry as they assist church members and attendees with book, music, and gift purchases. The Cafe is open Monday through Friday and Sunday morning, so there are all sorts of opportunities to serve based upon your availability. Retail exprience is a plus, but not necessary as training is available
