Preschool Academics

Enriching Education
in a Nurturing Environment

Our mission is to provide a safe, joyful, and Christian learning environment where children learn about God's love, build strong character, and develop a love of learning.

Calvary Christian Preschool uses the Learning Without Tears Curriculum for all ages and stages of learning. This academic curriculum allows us to introduce letters, sounds, math skills, vocabulary and writing to each age group and continue to expand the concepts as they grow.

Our program teaches the whole child by balancing spiritual development, academic growth, and social-emotional learning, while supporting their physical growth and development through fun and engaging, hands on learning experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. We also include weekly Art, Music, and PE enrichment classes. Please see enrichment class details below.

Calvary Christian Preschool is licensed by the State of California.

Morning Circle Time

Each morning, all preschool classes gather together on the playground for a time of worship, prayer, and a Bible verse to begin our day. By the end of the school year, through this daily time together, children will have had the opportunity to learn and recite by memory Psalm 100 and Psalm 23.

Music

Music is a vital part of a child’s education. In Music class the children have hands on experience with a variety of instruments designed to help them learn rhythm patterns, pitch tones, and the C scale. Singing and movement are an important part of our Music program. Children learn worship songs and motions that are performed throughout the school year at different Preschool events and shows.

Art

In art class, children are exposed to a mixture of process art where they get messy and create their own art, and teacher directed art where they learn about various artists and art techniques. This class is specially designed to give children the opportunity to work with a variety of mediums and learn techniques while developing their own creative process.

Chapel

Each week the children attend chapel in Samsvick Chapel, where they have a time of worship and Bible lessons. They learn who Jesus is and God’s love for each of them. Once a month we have our Preschool Family Chapel where families and friends are encouraged to join us.

PE

Our PE class is specially designed to help young children develop their large motor skills. In PE, children engage in different activities and games that teach hand eye coordination, balance, patience, and teamwork.
