We are excited to announce the newest member of the Calvary Christian School leadership team! Miss Lindsey Porter has been selected to serve as our Interim Principal for the 2026-27 school year after an extensive search and interview process. She will be juggling her other duties as Summer Day Camp Director, Athletic Director, and After School Program Director while we look to fill those roles.
Miss Porter's history at CCS goes back to her attending here as a student, graduating in 8th grade with a strong faith foundation because of the work of her teachers. After graduating from a Christian college, she worked in church ministry leading hundreds of people on dozens of missions trips around the world. Traveling to 15 countries, she saw God at work in developing countries, an experience that also had a large impact on her faith.
She has been leading the school's After School Program and the popular Summer Day Camp for the last nine years, including hiring all staff and scheduling events. This last year she also filled the Middle School Dean of Students role.
In her 10 years as Athletic Director, she has staffed and supervised our coaches, and supported all of our 4th-8th grade sports teams. She also currently serves as the President of the 6th-8th grade athletics Tri-Way League. As a PE teacher, Miss Porter knew and worked with every student on campus.
She graduated from Bethel College in Minnesota, holds a single-subject teaching credential, and has a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from Cal Baptist University. She will continue her education this fall as she pursues her administrative credential.
Miss Porter says, "I want to help guide students to make wise choices, treat others with respect, and live out their faith in practical ways." She sees teachers and staff as role models in this process, and that as the school and the family work together, students will grow into confident learners and faithful followers of Christ.
God has uniquely equipped Miss Porter for this role and we are so excited to see what is in store for CCS in the coming year. Please look for an opportunity to welcome Miss Lindsey Porter to her new role on our leadership team!
