Creating a Legacy Plan
Dear Calvary Family,
Dealing with money can be painful or joyful, but it is constant, and that is probably why it is addressed so much in the Bible. There is even a need to plan for what to do with your money and all that God has blessed you with in this life after you die, and we want to help you think through that process biblically.
Calvary has partnered with Financial Planning Ministry (FPM) to help guide you through a clear process to create your legacy plan —
- passing on what you value
- saving those you love time and money
- securing peace of mind for the future
Whether you have an estate plan in place or not, we invite you to take a fresh look at it and have FPM address your planning challenges and priorities at this free Legacy Planning Seminar on Saturday, October 4th from 9:30-11:00 am. We'll have a continental breakfast available. There will also be childcare for those who register by September 30th.
Come join Mike Prior, President of FPM, and myself who will give practical input and biblical wisdom to help walk you through the decisions you need to make. You will learn more about Wills and Living Trusts and how to protect your assets for the people and ministries you care about – all from a biblical perspective. After attending the seminar, you will have the opportunity to schedule a follow-up appointment — then to request that FPM prepare or update your estate plan. FPM is a non-profit ministry that Calvary supports because we believe in their mission to encourage Christians to give to the kingdom through estate planning. Since we partner together, FPM prepares wills or trusts for all of the Calvary Church and School family for free. They do encourage you to give to worthy causes, but who and how much is between you and the Lord.
So come join us as we talk about dealing with money after you die and how to disciple the next generation through your estate plan on Saturday, October 4th. Learn more at CalvaryLife.org/Legacy
Speaking of money and stewardship, we also have an 8-week class on The Joy & Practice of Generosity on Wednesday nights beginning October 1st that Neil Paur and I will be hosting to talk about the adventure found in trusting Jesus with all we have. We will explore some themes from John Mark Comer’s Generosity Practice as well as wrestle with the Bible's teachings on generosity to come up with practical ways to live it out joyfully in the tough context of Orange County.
