4 Things I'm Thankful for This Year
Dear Calvary Family,
I believe God is going to do something beyond our imaginations through our church this next year. We have been encouraging everyone to pray the request of Jesus in Luke 10:2 everyday at 10:02 in our EACH ONE REACH ONE mission - for the Holy Spirit to use each of us to reach someone with the love and truth of Jesus by Easter 2020.
We also launched a twofold global vision this year: GOOD NEWS FOR EUROPE - focusing to reach the 98% of people in Europe who need Jesus, and BIBLES FOR EVERYONE - partnering to see God’s Word translated for the 29% of the world who still need the Bible in their native language.
God hears our cry and knows our heart is to see His Kingdom grow — that our neighbors and the nations would come to experience the hope, grace and joy that comes with following Jesus.
I want to say thank you for these 4 ways your participation in the life of Calvary Church is making a difference for God's kingdom:
- Thank you for your prayers
- Thank you for your generous giving
- Thank you for your faithful service
- And thank you for your commitment to be part of this church family
As we approach the end of the calendar year, we also wanted to make you aware of our financial needs. Because of the faithful contributions of so many, we are slightly ahead on our giving to the general fund compared to last year. Praise God! However, to be on target going into 2020, we need to receive $725,000 for General Church Ministry and $147,000 for Global Missions during the month of December.
This is a big goal, but we believe God has called us to do big things. Thank you for considering how you can help meet this need and enable ministry locally and globally.
You can make a year-end gift today at calvarylife.org/give or bring your offering to any of our services through December. For more about giving to Calvary, or if you want to make a gift from your IRA or stock, please contact our Executive Pastor, Michael Welles, at or 714-550-2313.
Thank you again for all you do and all you give to further God’s work through this wonderful community of Calvary Church.
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Pastor Eric Wakeling
