Give Thanks for God's Grace
Dear Calvary Family,
After Paul tells the church in Corinth all about the resurrection of Jesus that raises us from death in sin, he says "All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God" - 2 Corinthians 4:15.
Isn't that beautiful?
This is what should fill us with gratitude this week and every week.
Give thanks for the grace that is reaching more and more people and give glory to God! That is the heart of our church! That is the heart of God! More and more people starts with ONE! Each one of us reaching one person with that beautiful grace.
The only reason numbers matter in the church is because numbers represent people. Why do we want "more and more" to be reached? Because all of that "more" equals individual people that are now part of God's family for eternity and get to live a life of purpose for Him every day.
We will celebrate and thank God for that grace and the gift of Jesus' birth this Sunday, December 1st as we gather as one big church family for our United All Church Service. All generations, four languages, many cultures united as one to proclaim the greatness of God through communion, baptism, singing and hearing from the Word of God!
Please join us at 9:30am in the Worship Center as we kick off our "Hark" series about the role of angels in the Christmas story.
