Join us for Calvary's 90th Birthday!!
Dear Calvary Family,
We are celebrating our 90th birthday as a church this Sunday! Calvary Church had their first official church service on October 25, 1931 and we are all blessed to continue the legacy of faithfulness between God and His people at this local body of believers.
In the service this Sunday at 9:00am we will be looking into how We Value Generations and giving thanks to God for His hand upon our church over the last nine decades. Then we will have a party on the patio at 10:10am with everyone from our English/ASL and Spanish services. There will be donut walls, balloons, games, giveaways of new Calvary branded gear, and more!
Let’s unite in prayer and service around the mission of the Good News of Jesus Christ! I invite you to pray deeply for the Spirit of God to move in people through our Light the Night community outreach on October 31st. We want to seek God more and more as a church and we believe that prayer is the work as much as, if not more, than the other preparations for this event. We also need your help serving that night. This is one of those “all hands on deck” events in our church as we serve our neighbors, so I invite you all to join in serving. Find ways you can get involved before, during or after at CalvaryLife.org/LTN
Finally, I mentioned last week that we would be recording a podcast with Bob Shank on generosity and to bring greater clarity to the message. It was a great conversation that can help further our biblical understanding of how we can live a blessed and generous life. That can be found at CalvaryLife.org/Podcast
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Eric Wakeling
