What is Your Role in the Great Commission?
Dear Calvary Family,
What an amazing privilege this last week to commission our three GO (Global Outreach) teams heading out to Europe this summer - High School students to Albania, families to Portugal, and our mixed team heading to Lesvos.
Just like in Acts 13, we as a church community have listened to the Holy Spirit, agree with His leading prompting, and through the laying on of hands we send out Kingdom builders. To each one of you who have given faithfully to these teams - thank you! We encourage you to dedicate yourselves to daily prayer for these GO Trips while they are overseas.
You can follow each one of these trips through their Instagram pages where they will make daily posts sharing about how God is at work and how you can partner in prayer:

The ancient Christian foundations of Europe are cracking. Deep abiding relationships with Christ have been replaced with atheism, postmodernism, and even now the rising tide of Islamic communities. Calvary - we believe it is for a time like this that the Lord has placed on our hearts to bring the Gospel to Europe where less than 3% of the population have a true, abiding faith in Jesus. This is why we have our strategic partnership with Greater Europe Mission, as we deepen our roots into European soil and ask God to bring the increase of fruit (1 Corinthians 3:6-9).
And now, I would love for each one of you reading this right now to take a minute. Pause. Ask yourself this question:
Holy Spirit, what is my role in the Great Commission?
It is easy for us to cheer on those who are going from the sidelines. But to be a faithful disciple of Jesus who is truly reflecting an abiding relationship in Christ, we must step forward. We must find our role. We would be remiss if we were to agree with the need for Europe to be transformed without allowing Christ to radically transform our own hearts through partnering with Him in His global purposes.
Perhaps your next step is to learn more about God’s heart for Europe during our Greater Europe Mission Discovery Day on June 30th. You can see details and register at CalvaryLife.org/GEM. Come for a free lunch and learn through an inspiring and interactive afternoon about God’s heart for the lost in Europe and explore your role in making a difference.
Frank Laubach, prominent missionary and theologian said: “To possess God you have to give Him away.” If you want to experience Christ, you must give Him away. There is no other path.
I encourage you to find your life in Christ as you lose it (Matthew 16:25) — seeking to make Him known among our neighbors, the nations, and the peoples of Europe.
