Last year, for my 50th birthday, I had one simple request: I wanted to play a game of kickball at my old Little League field in Northern California, with my family, my parents, my siblings, and their families.

So, on a warm August afternoon, twenty-three Doans showed up at the Scotts Valley Little League field to play. I think my side is still sore from all the laughing that day! From my 78-year-old dad trying to stretch a single into a double, to my youngest sister holding her one-year-old daughter while she batted, to my son and niece arguing over a “safe” call at third base, we laughed and laughed as we played together.

That’s exactly why I chose that activity. I wanted something everyone could be part of, no matter their age or skill level.

I have that same hope for Calvary Church. No matter your age or experience, there’s a place for you on the team here at Calvary!

Here are three opportunities to jump in:

1. Reach Fund Matching Opportunity
Did you hear? A generous family in our church has offered to match every dollar given to our Reach Missions Fund—up to $300,000—over the next three months (April through June). That means every dollar you give is instantly doubled! What an incredible opportunity to invest in what God is doing around the world. I invite you to pray about how you might participate. 2. Pancakes by the Playground (This Sunday!)
Join us this Sunday after the 9:00am worship service for “Pancakes by the Playground.” It’s a great chance to enjoy some pancakes and build friendships with other families in our church. While it’s especially geared toward families with kids, everyone is welcome! It's also a great Sunday to invite someone you know to come and hear the good news of Jesus and then enjoy some free pancakes and fun together! Find out more at CalvaryLife.org/Sunday.

3. Serve Next Week
There are several ways to get involved this coming week. See more about each opportunity at CalvaryLife.org/Reach:

• Monday: Seeking Refuge – come pray for the nations and for those displaced from their homes.
• Tuesday: Pop-Up Pantry – help serve over 100 families with groceries.
• Wednesday: Alpha Course – a perfect place to invite a friend, family member, or coworker who has questions about Jesus.

I invite you to pray and ask God how He wants you to step in. It’s your turn to bat, we need you!
