God at Work!

Reach Week 2026 is in the books, and what an incredible week it was! I want to share a brief look back in gratitude and a look ahead in hopeful expectation to upcoming opportunities we have to partner in what God is doing locally and globally. 

THANK YOU
Thank you, church family, for caring so well for the 36 Calvary missionary partners who were on our campus. Many of you hosted missionaries in your homes, took them out to restaurants, and welcomed them into your LifeGroups. We are so thankful for your care and support of our sent-out ones.

During Reach Week, we had the joy of hearing how God is at work around the world and how He promises to be with us (Haggai 1:13) as we live out our callings in our neighborhoods and among the nations. Let’s continue as a church family, to live on mission—to bless the world and actively support the missionaries God has called us to partner with. 

One ongoing way to support our missionaries around the world is by praying for them. Stay in the loop on ways to pray with weekly global updates sent out each Friday by joining our 10:02 Prayer Email - SIGN UP HERE.

REACH FUND - DONATION MATCHING OPPORTUNITY
One way we invite you to continue partnering with our 80 missionaries (60 active and 20 retired) is by financially giving to our Reach Missions Fund. This week, a generous Calvary family approached us with an exciting opportunity. They have offered to match donations dollar-for-dollar to the Reach Fund—up to $300,000– from now until the end of our financial year (June 30, 2026). 

That means we have the opportunity to give $300,000 in the next three months and see it doubled to $600,000 to support projects that spread the good news of Jesus to the nations.  Isn’t that amazing?!

With the needs of our missionary partners and projects growing, our prayer is that through this matching season, we might be able to give beyond our current budget and historical trends and contribute over $1 million this year to advance God’s kingdom here and around the world. We appreciate your prayerful consideration of supporting our Reach fund.

Let’s do it—God is at work!

NEW MIDWEEK SERIES - “GOD AT WORK AT WORK”
Speaking of God at work, we have a new three-week series on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, March 11, 18, and 25 called God at Work at Work. This series will help you see your vocation as an act of worship and discover how the place where you spend most of your time can become a place where God’s kingdom advances. 

We are really excited about this class and we would love for you to join us for this important and life-shaping series! No need to sign up in advance, just show up tonight at 7:00pm in Fellowship Hall. We will also have all of our fun, faith-building programs for infants through high schoolers. COLSON FELLOWS PROGRAM - PREVIEW DAY
One more item to mention that connects well with our theme of God at Work is a national program we are partnering with at Calvary Church called the Colson Fellows Program. It is a 10-month, once-a-month worldview and discipleship course designed to equip Christians to live out their faith faithfully in everyday life—at home, in the workplace, and in the culture around us.

All are welcome to a Preview Day this Saturday, March 14, from 8:30am to Noon in Room A-202 (upstairs in the A Building). This program is led at Calvary by our own Jim Bacin and Craig Bryson, who would love to share with anyone interested in learning more about joining the next cohort. If you want to grow in how to think Christianly about the world and how to live out your faith with wisdom and courage where God has placed you to work and serve, you are warmly invited to come check it out!
