I Am Thankful - End of Fiscal Year Update

6/30/21 | The Weekly | by Eric Wakeling

    Dear Calvary Family,

Today is the last day of our fiscal year here at Calvary Church and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your generosity. But even more, I want to thank God for the way He has cared for our church this year. The church is primarily the people of God gathered together and God has protected and provided for us. He’s also provided for all that it takes to keep our ministries going and maintain our church property. You can see a fiscal year-end giving update and give online today at calvarylife.org/update. When we give, we are simply following God’s commands and God’s plan for how He fuels ministry here in our community and all over the world. And, we are also worshiping Him as we submit to His ways.

Would you take a moment to thank God in prayer for all that God has done through a difficult year?

I also look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday on a unique and incredibly special day in our country. We will be expressing our gratitude to God for the freedoms and the blessings we have in the United States of America while also recognizing that with that freedom comes a responsibility to serve humbly in love. Primarily, we will be worshiping God and learning from 2 Timothy 2:23-26 about how to be servants of God in a divided land.

There will be a fun 4th of July giveaway and a prayer focus for our neighbors and nation at the beginning of the service, so you won't want to be late! We will end the service with a time of Communion, which reminds us of our dependence on God and our ultimate allegiance to Him.

So join us this Sunday, July 4 at 9:00am in the Worship Center, on the Patio, or online. There will be children's programs available for Birth-5th Grade at 9am only. Birth-Kindergarten will meet in their normal rooms, while the 1st-5th Graders will all be meeting together outside on the turf.

May the Lord bless you and keep you,
    Eric
