Join us for Holy Week at Calvary Church

4/10/25 | The Weekly | by Eric Wakeling

    Dear Calvary Family,

As Holy Week approaches in just a few days, I would love for you to consider your personal involvement in the services and opportunities for worship this week as well as the invitations you have the privilege to offer others.

The first event I want to highlight is the Passover Seder on Thursday, April 17 from 7:00 - 9:00pm. For those who have been with us in previous years, this will serve as a great reminder. For those who have never attended a Messianic Passover Seder before, you will have your mind blown. You will see Jesus jump to the forefront of every moment of this traditional meal and you will never take communion with the same mindset again. Make sure to eat a normal dinner before attending this “meal” which will have lots of interactive elements and fun foods to taste. You need to register and pay the $20 registration fee online at CalvaryLife.org/Seder.

We also have a couple of opportunities for reflection on the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ through our Good Friday night of worship at 7:00pm on Friday, April 18 and our Holy Week Prayers that will be offered every day next week, Monday through Friday, at 7:00am.

Finally, please be bold and prayerful as you consider who you will invite to our Easter Sunday services at 8:30 and 10:30am with a free and fun Egg Hunt immediately following each service for the kids. People are ready and willing to come with you to church on Easter, just warmly extend the invitation!  Pick up some invites this Sunday in the Lobby or share by text or social media today - find images and ideas to use at CalvaryLife.org/Easter.

Our Easter services will be a celebration of the resurrection through joy-filled music, awe-inspiring teaching from the Bible, and then the chance to hear true life transformation stories of people being baptized on this wonderful day.

So come reflect and celebrate with us this Holy Week at Calvary Church!

May the Lord bless you and keep you,
    Eric Wakeling
