Dear Calvary Family,

We are starting a new and wonderful season of Calvary Church this weekend as we start a new series called The Calvary Way.

“The Lord says, 'I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
 I will advise you and watch over you.'” Psalm 32:8

This will be a full unveiling and preaching on the new Mission, Vision, and Calling for Calvary Church that was developed by our Pastoral Staff and approved by our Elder Board this year. This is the WAY that God has called CALVARY to equip the followers of Jesus here for the adventure of life with Jesus to bless the world.

Equipping everyone for the adventure of life with Jesus to bless the world.

OUR VISION:
Calvary seeks to be a joyful church family that is better together, being changed by the Gospel to love like Jesus and reach the world across all cultures and generations.

OUR CALLING:
Hear from God > Walk with Jesus > Live On Mission

Hear from God: Filled with the Spirit of God, we are called to a life of dependence as we pray together—abiding in Christ and being led by the Spirit, who aligns us with the way of Jesus and wisdom of God’s Word.

Walk with Jesus: Rooted in the Word of God, we are called to a life of discipleship as we grow together—sharing our reason for hope, making disciples, and loving like Jesus by giving away what we’ve received.

Live On Mission: Moved by the love of God, we are called to a life of impact as we serve together—being equipped to use our God-given gifts and bless the world with the love and truth of Jesus.

THE JOURNEYS:
The Calvary Way includes three Journeys that form a discipleship pathway for you to experience and be equipped for the adventure of Life with Jesus to bless the world. Each Journey is seven sessions full of life-shaping biblical truth and encouraging conversations with God and each other. These Journeys are done together—all moving through one shared experience covering a wide variety of terrain to take us somewhere new.  Plus, during each Journey, there is a 40+ day training plan of Daily Exercises to intentionally practice and extend what you're learning.

Start considering now when you will attend the Hear from God Journey this Fall. Starting on September 13, this Journey will be offered on Sundays at both 9:00 and 11:00 am as well as on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.

TWO SERVICES!!

We are also starting our remodel of the Worship Center very soon. The plans for permits are at the City of Santa Ana - please be praying for those to be approved soon.

We will make some shifts into different rooms and times starting on Sunday, September 6th.

Temporarily, English/ASL will shift to Samsvick Chapel, Spanish will shift to the Gym, and Mandarin with Logos Bible Church will shift to the Choir Room.

We will have two English services starting on September 6 at 9:00am and 11:00am in the Chapel. The plan now if for ASL to be offered at the 9:00am service. I think this will be wonderful for everyone to have options for when to come to the worship service, and I also know that many people have been hoping for a little later of a service time to attend with their families.

The Spanish service and Mandarin church will be at the 11:00am service time only.

We will continue to have our amazing Kids’ Ministry programs at both 9:00am and 11:00am, with Student Ministries still meeting at 11:00am.

Our leadership has been praying and planning for this next season of life at Calvary. Please be praying with us - that we would be a church depending fully on God for all he will do in and through all of this as we seek him together!
