Dear Calvary Family,

We have had some pretty intense highs and lows in the life of our church over the past couple of weeks. These moments, along with the start of a new year, remind me that the only unchanging and true foundation we can depend on in every season is the love of our good and gracious God.

"God is love." 1 John 4:8

“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

"Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:39

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8

This Sunday we will focus our hearts and minds on the love of God. This is now a four-year tradition of starting the year with a sermon on God’s love for us and our love for God. First, Love.

I encourage you to come and be part of the start of 2025 at Calvary Church as we set our priorities and center our lives on receiving God’s love and sharing God’s love with others.
