What Happens After Easter?
Dear Calvary Family,
On Easter Sunday at Calvary, a total of 2,730 people heard about the joy and hope of life with Jesus across three services. We also celebrated with twelve people who were baptized and many more who responded to the Gospel invitation to place their trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord!
Thank you to everyone who lifted up this day in prayer.
Thank you to each of you who reached out and shared an invitation.
And, thank you to all who served on a team to make Easter at Calvary such a joyful and memorable morning!
From Kids team volunteers with Early Childhood and the Egg Hunt to Worship team volunteers playing handbells on the Patio, leading songs on stage, or running tech behind the scenes to Connections team volunteers helping people park, greeting guests, making coffee, cleaning up the campus, keeping us safe, and so much more — thank you for sharing the love of Jesus and giving your time and talents to bless others in Jesus’ name.
It truly was a beautiful picture of Paul’s encouragement in Colossians 3:16-17, “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.”
What Happens After Easter?
We've been walking through the Gospel of Luke on Sundays at Calvary for three and a half years... and we're almost done! It's interesting to note that this is about the same length of time as Jesus' public ministry—from his baptism at the Jordan River to his resurrection from the Garden Tomb. But, what happened after Jesus rose from the dead? And, why is it so significant?
Join us for a special three-week series starting this Sunday - "This is (Not) the End" - as we look into Luke's cliffhanger of a conclusion to the greatest story ever told about the greatest person who ever lived. Come discover the amazing significance of Luke's final chapter, that connects what happened 2,000 years ago to the story God is still writing in your life today.
We'll also be sharing about a new focus God has given our leadership to pursue together in our mission and calling as a church. Hope to see you there!
Blessings,
Trevor Behrns
