Day 2: Remember His Power
Psalm 98:1 Sing a new song to the Lord, for He has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; His holy arm has shown his saving power!
Devotional · · · God possesses all power that defies any human comprehension, and His omnipotence transcends the known universe. An attempt to grasp even one manifestation of His power, like the creation and sustaining of the universe, leads certainly to wonder and awe. We as believers are personally most impacted and benefitted by the exertion of His power in the resurrection of Christ, our new life in Him, and the transformation into His image (Eph. 1:18-20).
Prayer · · · Almighty God, Your awesome power displayed in the cosmos and the created world I see, humbles me and also helps me believe that You can do anything. I acknowledge Your sovereign strength, and ask for Your power to prevail over the evil working against my life, my family, my church, and the world. Thank You for the power you’ve shown in raising me to knew life in Christ, and I ask for the strength to face my trials and temptations, and to walk in step with the Spirit as I follow Jesus. Father, help me to live today in the power of the Holy Spirit.
