Celebrating Lives Changed by Jesus!
Dear Calvary Family,
True life transformation only happens through the powerful work of Jesus in our lives. And, we celebrate together how we have been made new through the beautiful sacrament of baptism.
Take a moment to look at these pictures from our Beach Baptisms of people who know that Christ has saved them! They're amazing! Just take in the joy on these faces in the gallery of photos here.
It was a joy and privilege to be part of this sacred moment last Sunday. I wanted to pause for a moment here to remind each one of us that we can only find real fulfillment, meaning and joy in this life through pursuing the change that the Holy Spirit can bring. We need to be a people that acknowledge our sin, repent of it and then seek the powerful work of Christ on the cross to cleanse us. In the Bible, Jonah was a man who tried to hide and run from God instead of running toward Him. The grace of God was there for him, but he went through a terrible period of suffering because of his choices.
I encourage you to join us this Sunday morning as we continue our series looking into the story of Jonah and the good news for all of us today - no matter how far you may have been running or how long you have been hiding, God's mercy and grace are still available if you are willing to turn toward Him.
May the Lord Bless You and Keep You,
Pastor Eric
P.S. Also this Sunday, you can help us fill a big yellow school bus with backpacks and school supplies to bless low-income Santa Ana elementary students and kids at the Acres of Love Orphanage in South Africa. Find a list of needed supplies here.
