My Experience with Calvary Christian School
Dear Calvary Family,
I’ve been reflecting on the life of my children and how they are now in young adulthood. Grace is doing her doctoral work at Rosemead School of Psychology and is getting married this summer. Ella is a freshman at Biola and experiencing all the new moments of living away from home and pursuing a degree for her future. I reflect on these wonderful things they are experiencing now and how they are following the Lord through the craziness of our world and culture. There have been a host of joys and griefs, victories and challenges, and simply the hard work of finishing school.
Through all of that, I think of the wonderful foundation they had through our own discipleship of them as their parents, their upbringing here through the Calvary Church Kids and Student Ministries programs, and also through their time at Calvary Christian School. I’m beyond grateful for the way their pastors, teachers, administrators, and small group leaders have poured into their lives in their time here at Calvary.
And I also know that the largest percentage of time that they were here being ministered to and taught was actually at Calvary Christian School. Our kids spend so much time at school and it was such an encouragement and blessing to me that they were here at CCS, receiving an excellent academic education that was completely integrated with their Christian faith and biblical values. I thank God they were able to learn and grow in this environment.
I highly recommend Calvary Christian School to all of you that are raising kids or grandkids here in a world with so many temptations and unhealthy influences. We are in the season of enrollment for the 2026/2027 school year now for preschool, elementary school, and middle school. You don’t have to only start at Preschool or Kindergarten. You can start at any grade, including Middle School. There’s a Middle School Preview Night on Thursday, February 5th at 6:30pm in G-213 if you want to learn more.
You can also go to Calvary.School/Admissions to find out more, schedule a tour, or talk to our admissions team.
Finally, don’t forget to bring some canned goods to donate to our Souper-Bowl food drive to support those in need through the OC Rescue Mission this Sunday!
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Eric Wakeling
