Dear Calvary Family,

I just had a great conversation with a group of parents of elementary-aged children and one of the things they shared with me as a value for them was to serve together as a family. And I agree so much! It’s a massive value for families and for any individual member of our church. And what’s so cool is that we have a few great opportunities coming up this month to serve together as a church family or as your immediate household.

Homes of Hope Housebuilding GO Trip to Mexico
January 15-17, 2027
This is one of the best and most viable ways for a family to serve together in a different country. The transportation is safe and organized, the housing is safe and comfortable, and the work is possible for any age or experience level. There will be an information meeting this Sunday, October 11 at 10:30am in A-205. You can also find out more and register now at CalvaryLife.org/GO. 

Operation Love
October 24, 2026
Come join a work team to help serve our widows/widowers in need with various tasks such as yard work, window washing, minor repairs, etc. Meet in Fellowship Hall on Saturday, October 24 at 8:00am for breakfast and a short devotional before breaking into teams and heading out to your designated home. Pop-Up Pantry
October 27, November 24, December 15 at 6:30pm (volunteers arrive earlier)
Calvary partners with Mary's Kitchen to host a monthly Pop-Up Food Pantry! You can serve at these events as an individual or a family by emailing us at . You can also find out more and donate to support this community outreach to help people in need at CalvaryLife.org/Pantry. 

Light the Night
October 31, 2026 - 5:00-8:00pm
We will need tons of help serving on this incredible night of outreach to our community. Details on this free fall festival, ways to serve, and how to sign-up can all be found at CalvaryLife.org/LTN. You can donate candy as a family as well. Maybe even kids can help get candy donated towards the event!

These are a few great opportunities coming up this month! They are all in pursuit of our vision—as Calvary seeks to be a joyful church family that is better together, being changed by the Gospel to love like Jesus and reach the world across all cultures and generations.

We believe and continue to pray that God will use you mightily, that serving will also help you connect with other members of Calvary Church in a meaningful way, and that it will also instill a heart for loving service in you and your children.
