Dear Calvary Family,

I have absolutely loved sharing our new Mission, Vision, and Calling with you all these past few Sundays. I pray that the message on Hearing from God was helpful and eye-opening for you. Do you believe that our God is a God who speaks and listens? I do! And God loves you and cares about you! He wants to hear from you and he wants you to hear from him.

This is a huge part of life with Jesus to bless the world! Any sense of life with God, or frankly life with anyone, must involve communication - both speaking and listening. We want to equip you for that life through the Hear from God Journey that starts the week of September 13th. You can register for that Journey at CalvaryLife.org/Way.

I was talking with some pastors and elders about how to describe the Journey in a way that everyone can understand. We thought of it this way:

• It’s not a Bible Study, but we will be studying the Bible.
• It’s not a Prayer Meeting, but we will spend time praying on our own and with one another.
• It’s not a LifeGroup, but we will be meeting in groups and talking together.
• It’s not a class with homework, but we will be learning in a room and have Daily Exercises to do at home.

It is 7 sessions of meeting in-person around tables with a facilitator guiding your conversations and an upfront presenter helping teach and guide the entire time. Over the course of 40+ days, we will learn about hearing from God through the Bible, prayer, listening, fellow believers, and through our life experiences. And it is a core step in our discipleship pathway, equipping everyone for the adventure of life with Jesus to bless the world.

I also encourage you to make every effort to come to the Hear from God Journey offered either at 9:00am on Sundays or at 7:00pm on Wednesday nights. The 11:00am Sunday option is currently at capacity. Young Adults will also have the option to take this Journey on Thursday evenings starting on September 17th. Again, CalvaryLife.org/Way is the first step to get registered. Please register individually even if you are attending this Journey with your LifeGroup.

And, join us again this Sunday morning as we continue our current series exploring The Calvary Way. We'll be looking into our second Calling Statement, "Walk with Jesus." Rooted in the Word of God, we are called to a life of discipleship as we grow together—sharing our reason for hope, making disciples, and loving like Jesus by giving away what we’ve received. I can't wait to share more about all of this with you!
