Dear Calvary Family,

We had a beautiful celebration of transformed lives down at Corona Del Mar for our Beach Baptisms this past Sunday evening. Check out the Photo Gallery of the fun, the baptisms, and our church family being together. Please be praying for those who were baptized and for God to continue to work and move through our church.

One of the things I love most about our church is how many generations are represented here. This was so true at our baptisms - children, teenagers, young adults, middle adults, and older adults all made the decision to be baptized publicly and proclaim their faith in Jesus.

I also love seeing that in our worship services. The moment that sticks with me from the first English/ASL service we did back in Samsvick Chapel a couple of weeks ago was when I asked if anyone in the room was in the first service in the Chapel back in 1967. A bunch of hands were raised in both services! I wasn’t even alive yet, and I’m kind of old! Then I asked if there was anyone who had never even been in the Chapel before - ever! And a ton of hands were raised there as well. This just shows us how we have people who have been part of this local gathering of believers for decades and people who have recently started coming. And we need everyone! We need the fresh excitement of a new member or a new believer. We need the wisdom, experience, and maturity of the person who has been a member for over 50 years.

We all, old and new, have the ability and commissioning to pass on what we have learned and what we have witnessed to the next generation, to those who are yet to believe, and to people in our lives who haven’t learned something we have had the privilege to learn. We give away what we’ve received.

We have a few opportunities coming up to pass on to the next generation in different ways. You can click on each event title to learn more and sign up:

• Middle School ½ Nighter - Friday, September 25
  This is the biggest Spot outreach event of the year! Our hope is to have hundreds of middle school students on our campus to encounter Jesus and hear the Good News! Food, game truck, photo booth, DJ, prizes, and more! We will need A LOT of parent support (adult volunteers, prayer, prize donations, food donations, etc.), so reach out to Josh at or 714-550-2429!
  
  
• Legacy Grandparenting Summit - Saturday, September 26
  Join us for an extraordinary day of input and inspiration for intentional, Christ-centered grandparenting with nationally acclaimed speakers at this Simulcast being hosted here at Calvary! This year’s theme, “A Heart for Eternity”, invites us to invest our time, energy, and resources in what lasts. Because what we do now impacts not only our children and grandchildren, but untold generations to come. 
  
  
• Legacy Planning Seminar - Saturday, October 3
  Calvary has partnered with Financial Planning Ministry to help guide you through a clear process to create your legacy plan — passing on what you value, saving those you love time and money, and securing peace of mind for the future. You will learn more about Wills and Living Trusts and how to protect your assets for the people and ministries you care about – all from a biblical perspective. Childcare will be available on a limited basis if registered by Wednesday, September 30.
  
  
• Calvary Christian School Auction - Saturday, October 10
  Don't be late for a very important date at the CCS auction, raising money for classroom renovations, teacher development and the CCS scholarship fund to fuel Christ-centered learning for the next generation.
