FAQ - WHAT TO EXPECT
Where are the services?
Candlelight Services for English will be in Samsvick Chapel, with viewing available outdoors on the Patio.
Will the service be available online?
Candlelight Services for English will be available on Calvary's Youtube channel, Facebook page and CalvaryLife.org/LIVE. There will also be a service in Spanish available on the Hispanic Ministry's Facebook Page.
ARE ALL THE CANDLELIGHT SERVICES THE SAME?
All of the services in English - on December 23 at 5:30 + 7:00 pm and December 24 at 3:30 + 5:00pm - will be the same Candlelight Service. The service in Spanish will be unique on December 23 at 7:00 pm in the Gym.
WHAT HAPPENS AT CALVARY’S CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES?
The 60-minute Candlelight services will include beautiful Christmas music, lighting the Advent candles, and a talk from the Bible. Visitors are not asked to stand up or do anything embarrassing. In all that we do, our desire is to present the good news of Jesus, celebrating His coming into the world and the difference He can make in all of our lives.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We hope you’ll wear whatever makes you comfortable. You’ll find plenty of people dressed casually (t-shirts, shorts, jeans) and others dressed a little snazzier (slacks, dresses, skirts). Just come as you are.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY KIDS?
All kids are welcome to be together with adults in our Candlelight Services. A Family Room video venue will be available at all services for parents with kids who need a little more space to wiggle. For the December 24 service at 3:30 pm, the Nursery will be open with childcare provided for babies up to 36 months. Discover more about what programs are resuming January 4 for Nursery to 5th Grade at CalvaryLife.org/Kids and Middle School up through High School at CalvaryLife.org/Students.
WHAT KIND OF CHURCH IS CALVARY CHURCH?
We’re a non-denominational Bible-teaching church that has been part of the community since 1931.
