An Important Message of Hope this Christmas

12/22/22 | The Weekly | by Eric Wakeling

    Dear Calvary Family,

I’m looking forward to sharing with you an important and timely message of hope this Christmas. Our world may be weary, but we truly have reason to rejoice in a thrill of hope that is sparked in the story of Christ’s birth. Our Christmas Candlelight services will be all about how the different parts of the Christmas nativity scene point towards the true hope that comes in the baby born this day.

I know that your friends and family will enjoy our Candlelight service while hearing the truth and hope of the Good News of Jesus. Many people say that Christmas is now the season where people are most willing to respond positively to an invitation to church - even more than Easter. Who has God placed on your heart to invite to our Christmas Candlelight services this week?

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23 AT 7:00 PM
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24 AT 4:00 PM

Come experience meaningful worship, creative elements, a biblical message, and the lighting of candles. Through each of these memorable moments, the good news of Jesus will be presented—which is an invitation for a weary world to rejoice with a thrill of hope! Discover more at SantaAnaChristmas.com

We also will have the opportunity to worship together on Christmas morning. This will be a beautifully simple service with carols and a brief message on how Jesus brings hope as the Light of the world.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 25 AT 9:00 AM
Join us for an All-Family Worship Service at 9:00am in the Worship Center in English and ASL. Our service in Spanish will be at 11:00am in the Chapel. (No separate programs on Dec 25 for Nursery - High School.)

I would also like to take the chance to encourage you to prayerfully consider your Year-End Giving. We are about nine days away from the culmination of 2022. Your generosity will help make a difference locally and globally by enabling more people to experience the hope found in Jesus! You can bring your offering to any of the services this weekend or give online today at CalvaryLife.org/Give.

This prayer from the Apostle Paul is my prayer for you this Christmas - “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13

May the Lord bless you and keep you,
    Eric Wakeling
