Easter Weekend at Calvary - Hope Rises!
Dear Calvary Family,
Hope Rises! We have a hope with a firm foundation in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is alive! I like this quote I heard from Beth Moore this week - “The power of the resurrection means that nothing but the tomb is meant to be empty.” The power of Jesus fills every part of us with his love, purpose, grace and significance.
I’m so excited for the events of this weekend and I can’t wait to share the message God has given me from 1 Corinthians 15 with all of you. We also have the incredible privilege to cheer on the many people being baptized in our 9:00am service in English and ASL as well as in our 11:00am service in Spanish.
I encourage you to invite a friend, coworker or family member to one of the services on Easter Sunday. This is genuinely the time of year that more people are willing to respond positively to an invitation to church, where they will hear the gospel presented clearly.
You could even try sending one of these texts to someone right now:
- My family is going to Easter at Calvary and we’d love to have you join us. Can I save you a seat?
- Miss you friend. I’d love to take you to church this Easter and grab lunch after. You in?
- My church is talking about hope this Easter and I think it could be really encouraging. Want to go?
Here are the different opportunities you have to worship, reflect and grow this weekend.
