UNITED SUNDAY - MAY 29
Be sure to mark your calendars now for a special United Sunday on May 29 with a Family Service at 9:00 am for everyone 1st Grade and up, from our English/ASL and Spanish services, worshiping Jesus together!
During the service we will also have a few minutes for our Annual Meeting. Our Elder Board Chair, Norm Alexander, and myself will give an update on life at Calvary, a brief financial report, and present the opportunity for members to vote on new and renewing elders.
There will also be a special Memorial Day focus moment, 5th Sunday prayer time for many of our summer outreaches, and we will wrap up our current series on GOD JOY with a message from Pastor Eric Wakeling on "My Prescription for Joy."
Then stay for the After Party on the Patio as we kickoff the summer with some food and fun for the whole church family!
About the Elder Affirmation Vote on May 29:
Official church members will vote yes or no during the service on May 29 at 9:00am on each nominee who has been approved by the Elder Board and are now being presented for a vote of affirmation. This is not a competition between the nominees. The primary reason for voting no should be because you know of something that disqualifies them from this role. If you know of something that disqualifies them, please let me or the Elder Chairman know.
