Looking Ahead to Upcoming Changes

    Dear Calvary Family,

    One of the updates we shared with all of you recently was the timeline for the Worship Center auditorium remodel project to begin this September. We are so grateful for your generosity and flexibility as we care for this church building as a resource for ministry and prepare ourselves for a long and fruitful future.

    We appreciate your prayers for the permit processes with the city of Santa Ana, for safety during construction, for a quick build time, and for unity during a season of change.

    The first Sunday we will not be using the auditorium in the Worship Center will be Sunday, September 6. This means that this fall we will begin a temporary season where English/ASL will shift to Samsvick Chapel, Spanish will shift to the Gym, and Mandarin with Logos Bible Church will shift to the Choir Room.

    We will have two English services starting on September 6 at 9:00am and 11:00am in the Chapel. ASL will be offered at the 9:00am service. I think this will be wonderful for everyone to have options for when to come to the worship service, and I also know that many people have been hoping for a little later of a service time to attend with their families.

    The Spanish service and Mandarin church will be at the 11:00am service time only.

    We will continue to have our amazing Kids’ Ministry programs at both 9:00am and 11:00am, with Student Ministries still meeting at 11:00am.

    So, let’s get excited for these new opportunities and temporary shifts, plus the newly remodeled space! We also understand that not everyone loves these kinds of changes or any change! We want to help you be able to prepare yourself for these changes the best that we can.

    I am also really looking forward to launching our first Journey of The Calvary Way this fall - “Hear from God.” This 7-week experience is part of our discipleship pathway, full of life-shaping biblical content and times of encouraging conversations and prayer. It will begin the week of September 13 and will be offered on Sundays at 9:00am and 11:00am, as well as Wednesdays at 7:00pm.

    Please be praying and preparing for all these things.
