Prayer Matters
Dear Calvary Family,
We have enjoyed the first few nights of our 7 Nights of Worship this week. These have been beautiful nights of singing, reflection and prayer. There are four more to go, including tonight and Friday at 7:00pm and then Saturday and Sunday at 4:00pm. I know it’s called 7 Nights of Worship but that doesn’t mean we just sing for 90 minutes straight. There has been a rich blend of singing but also of prayer. We pray each night for a different outreach of our church as well. Last night, everyone turned their seats toward the hospital across the street and prayed over the staff and patients of the hospital and asked God to use us as we minister to them this year. I highly encourage you to join us for a blend of different types of songs and expressions to our God.
One outreach I would encourage you all to be praying for right now is our Homes of Hope GO Trip to the Tijuana/Rosarito area of Mexico this weekend. This has been a long-standing tradition here at Calvary of families and others building a few homes over the course of the weekend for people in need. Please be praying for fruitfulness, safety, unity and health!
Finally, I wanted to say thanks again for your prayers for me! You might have heard Matt announce on Sunday that I had a positive Covid test. I definitely felt sick for a week or so, but I’m back and excited to serve God alongside all of you. I can’t wait to preach on the next part of our First, Love series as we remember to love God first!
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Eric Wakeling
P.S. Plan on checking out the LifeGroup Preview Fair this Sunday after the service on the Patio to get connected and grow together in 2022!
