Seeking God's Direction & Provision

8/14/23 | The Weekly | by Eric Wakeling

    Dear Calvary Family,

Over the past several months, our church leadership has been prayerfully seeking God’s direction and provision for needs related to our campus. This has included various meetings of our Elders, Trustees, and Pastors - as well as a Prayer Night that many church leaders attended in June.

Beyond the practical logistics and planning involved as steps of good stewardship, we want to live out our value of dependence by listening to God and trusting His guidance before moving forward. And, we are inviting everyone in our church family to join that process of seeking the Lord in prayer together now.

Please read below to learn more or explore all the details on our website at CalvaryLife.org/Campus.

May the Lord bless you and keep you,
    Eric Wakeling

    PROJECT PRIORITIES

As we look ahead, there are campus projects we believe God is calling us to pursue in the following order and priority:

    1) Fix the Worship Center Heating and Air Conditioning, along with some roof repairs required for the project. This is our primary and most pressing need, with an estimated cost of $1.6 million - See Q&A for details. Projects 2 and 3 will only be pursued in the next few years as the Lord leads and funds are raised through the generous participation of our church family.

    2) Pay off remaining debt on our Heritage Medical Building. Current rental income offsets the expenses for this space, but there will be higher interest rates impacting this loan soon. In addition, paying off the remaining $1.7 million mortgage ahead of schedule will provide increased net proceeds, which we plan to designate toward missions.

    3) Refresh our main indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. First, by updating the interior of the Worship Center with new flooring, paint, and seats for an estimated $700,000. Second, by enhancing the central Courtyard for $250,000 and recreating our north Campus Entrance to have a more welcoming and open presence, plus a new Fireside Patio space for $400,000.
