Thank You for Answering the Call
Dear Calvary Family,
We concluded our Vision of Hope series with a message from Ephesians 4:1-16 and a call to serve with Calvary Church, highlighting a variety of ways to get involved. It was amazing to see the response from so many of you to complete the handout identifying your skills, gifts, resources and interests to serve the Body of Christ here at Calvary, in our community, and around the world.
We received 657 completed forms from both our English and Spanish services. We have already contacted the 330 of you who filled out the form and were not already serving in some way. And, we are now taking steps to get you connected in just the right spot for you to use your gifts and talents for the Lord. All of you were added to lists of resources or skills that we can call upon at different times throughout the year for big events like NeighborGood or VBS, or other ongoing service opportunities.
This is such a beautiful picture of the church coming together! Thank you for answering the call to get involved and serve with your church family! Praise God!
You still have a chance to complete this form online if you weren’t here on campus on Sunday or were serving elsewhere during the service. Just go to CalvaryLife.org/Serve and click “Volunteer Connect Form” to help share what God has given you to share with others. You can also reply to this email if you’re looking for more help in getting connected.
Discipleship is following Jesus and giving away what we’ve received to help others follow Jesus. Our vision is to see all of us live this out in our everyday lives as we seek to be a church family who is better together, being changed by the gospel to love like Jesus across all cultures and generations.
If you missed any of the Vision of Hope series, you can catch up with the teachings at CalvaryLife.org/Hope.
We will see you this Sunday as we kick off a new series called Kingdom Priorities in Luke 12-14 as we are reminded by the message and miracles of Jesus about what matters most in God’s Kingdom.
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Eric Wakeling
