The Hope We Have in the Resurrection
Dear Calvary Family,
We are starting our Easter Series this weekend and I’m so excited for you to both understand and experience the hope of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
We will have many ways for you to participate in this season of celebrating the resurrection. Our Sunday series is called Hope Rises and will be a journey through 1 Corinthians 15. Some of the questions we will address include:
- Do miracles really happen?
- What happens when we die?
- What will our body be like?
- Did Jesus really rise from the dead?
- What did that accomplish?
JOIN US FOR EASTER AT CALVARY
Make plans to join us for Easter at Calvary on Sunday, April 9 with services in English at 6:30 am on the Patio and 9:00am in the Worship Center, plus a service in Spanish at 11:00am in the Chapel.
WHO CAN YOU INVITE?
Be prayerfully considering now who you can invite to one of these joy-filled worship services. Invite Cards will be available for you to take in the Worship Center Lobby this Sunday. Grab one or a bunch and share them with those God puts on your heart.
BE BAPTIZED THIS EASTER!
We also have an opportunity for you, or a loved one, to be baptized on Easter Sunday at our 9:00am service in English or our 11:00am service in Spanish.
Baptism is a beautiful symbol of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection and how that miracle has saved us when we place our trust in him. This is the perfect time if you have not been baptized or you were baptized as an infant and would like to be immersed as a believer. Baptism is a symbol of what Jesus has done for us, a proclamation of our faith, a supernatural mystery, and a chance to celebrate together. And on Easter!
Come learn more at one of our Baptism classes on March 26 or April 2, both at 11:00am in the Worship Center Lobby. Learn more and RSVP at CalvaryLife.org/Baptism.
PASSOVER SEDER
During the week leading up to Easter, we will have a Passover Seder on Thursday, April 6th. This is always a meaningful time, remembering the Last Supper and gaining a deeper understanding of this important event. You can see event details and register now at CalvaryLife.org/Passover
GOOD FRIDAY COMMUNION
Finally, our Good Friday communion service is also an important time to be still and remember the cost of the crucifixion through scripture readings, prayer, and reflective music. Join us Friday, April 7 at 7:00pm - English in the Worship Center and Spanish in the Chapel.
HOLY WEEK PRAYERS
We will even have a devotional resource of Holy Week Prayers. We invite you to pick up a Prayer Guide at Calvary on an upcoming Sunday or follow along on our social media each day for a set of prayers, scriptures, and reflections to connect you more deeply to Jesus and the hope-filled good news found in him.
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Eric Wakeling
