We Have Much To Celebrate

7/23/20 | The Weekly | by Eric Wakeling

    Dear Calvary Family,

We still have much to celebrate and praise God for in this season of our life.

We had our first Outdoor Worship Service last Sunday and it was a joy to actually be with many of you. I didn’t just “see” you on a screen. I saw you in real life! And it was awesome!

God was worshiped mightily in the morning on our Livestream and just as mightily in the evening at our Outdoor Service. Our Spanish-speaking service was also outdoors at 9:00am and was a beautiful expression of worship to God.

We are making some changes based on things we’ve learned. The biggest one is that our English Outdoor Service will now be at 7:00pm to provide a little more shade and cooler weather.

You can register for our in-person services, plus view sermon notes and song lyrics through our Calvary Church Center App. Learn more about that at CalvaryLife.org/APP

Check out photos from our first Sunday back on campus for a worship service since March 8. It was so good to gather again with some of our church family!

We also are expectantly celebrating all that God will do next week at All Aboard VBS. VBS is “online + at home” this year and we have prepared an absolutely incredible experience for our kids. It is not too late to register, so please reach out and invite some friends and enjoy the combination of zany hilarity and deep life transformation that VBS is all about. You can register for FREE or find ways to support this effort locally and globally at CalvaryLife.org/VBS

Finally, our passage for the sermon this Sunday is deep, rich and full of meat as we continue our series "A Better Hope." I would love for you to be able to have a little more context and understanding even before Sunday. You can do that by reading and reflecting on these bible passages. Genesis 14:14-20; Psalm 110; Hebrews 5:1-10; Hebrews 7:1-8:6.

I look forward to “seeing” you or seeing you this Sunday!

May the Lord bless you and keep you,
