We Need Each Other

    Dear Calvary Family,

    We truly are better together. We need each other. We understand that now more than ever before. We appreciate all of you that completed our surveys on Regathering Indoors and Spiritual Health. We will give an update on the results of that survey in an email next week.     I’d like to update you on what happens for our Sunday worship gatherings when it rains and the opportunity to connect this season in a LifeGroup.

    Rainy Sundays

    The leadership of Calvary Church is still meeting to discuss if and when our plans for gathering indoors should change. We are seeking the Lord in prayer, the wisdom of the scriptures, updated information about the virus and it’s spread, and the wisdom of each other. As you know, our plan has been to continue to meet outdoors or online as the current guidelines for churches describe to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

    Until anything changes, the plan for a Sunday with rain is that we will meet online for worship that you can find at CalvaryLife.org/LIVE or on our Facebook page or YouTube channel. If rain is in the forecast, we will inform you via email and social media. Quite frankly, this Sunday is one of those difficult Sundays to figure out with rain forecast on Saturday and Monday, but not Sunday. If it’s actively raining on Sunday, please assume that we will not be gathering on-campus, but online only.

    If it’s not raining, we would love to see you at Calvary this Sunday to hear from our special guest speaker, Pastor Jared Wilkins, as he shares on Hebrews 13:1-3 about our calling as Christians to love God’s family, to love the stranger, and to love the least of these.

    New LifeGroups

    You might think that quarantine has stopped connection from happening at Calvary, but we have actually started more LifeGroups in 2020 than in any year in our recent history. We started 21 new LifeGroups in the last year and we look forward to start even more this Sunday! We need connection. We need each other. And this can happen in groups that meet in backyards and zoom meetings. If you are feeling disconnected and discouraged, I can’t recommend strongly enough that you join one of these new LifeGroups.
