You're Invited - Christmas Eve at Calvary

12/21/23 | The Weekly | by Eric Wakeling

Come wrap up the season of Advent—of waiting and longing for the Messiah’s arrival—with a joy-filled celebration of Christ’s birth at one of Calvary’s Christmas Eve Candlelight services this Sunday at 10:00am or 4:00pm.

Together we will enjoy beautiful music, creative elements, a biblical message, and the lighting of candles. Through these moments, we'll share the story of the incarnation - Jesus coming to be born as a baby and be with us. The incarnation is an invitation to everyone to have a seat at the banquet table of God. And as the host, God didn’t just send a messenger with the invitation. He lowered himself from heaven to earth to live as one of us, bring us this invitation, and make a way for us to be welcomed in. This is what we celebrate at Christmas!

The services will be in the Worship Center with viewing available outdoors in the Courtyard and online at CalvaryLife.org/LIVE. Both  services on December 24 - at 10:00am and 4:00pm - will be the same Candlelight Service (in English with Spanish translation available. ASL translation  at the 10:00 AM service only).

On Christmas Eve, we invite all kids to join together with adults in our Candlelight Services. (A Family Room video venue will also be available.) Regular Family Ministry programs will resume in the New Year.
