In just seven years, we will celebrate a century of God at work locally and globally through the ministries of Calvary!

Again and again since 1931, God has made a way where there seemed to be no way through miraculous provision and incredible generosity — including the wartime remodel of “The House” at 6th and French in the 1940s, the “Big Move” from downtown Santa Ana out to the orange groves on Tustin Ave in the 1960s, and the expansion over the years to the 10.5 acres and 187,000 sq. ft. of building space we enjoy as a resource for ministry today.

Through all of this, the heritage of God’s faithfulness in the past gives us confidence for the present opportunities before us and great hope for the road ahead. Will we do our part now in this generation to steward well this inheritance we have received? How can our investments in this next season impact the future and more fully support all God has called us to be and do as we reach 100 years and beyond?

As Jesus encouraged His disciples, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need” - Matthew 6:33.

Our heart in this project is to seek Jesus first in all things - in love, discipleship, and dependence. Out of that same heart, our church leadership has cultivated a plan to address the needs and dreams we believe God has called us to pursue as we care for our church campus and our community.

We’re inviting you now, both as individuals and together as a church family, to seek the Lord and respond in faith as He guides and provides.

May the Lord bless you and keep you,

Eric Wakeling

The primary goal of Forward in Faith is to be all in with 100% participation on this journey of faith — through praying, serving, and giving — by all who call Calvary their church home. We don’t want anyone to miss out on the blessing of participating in this opportunity. Our prayer is that this journey becomes a catalyst to deepen our relationship with God and one another as we build our trust in His guidance and provision.

We believe God has more for you and more for Calvary. So, we look forward with eager anticipation to what God will do in and through us as we seek to be a church family that is better together, being changed by the Gospel to love like Jesus across all cultures and generations.

PHASE ONE $1.6 million
Repair Worship Center HVAC & Roof

Phase one was approved by a member's vote in the Fall of 2023 to replace the 30+ year-old Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning while making needed roof repairs. This project is on track to be completed this fall to increase reliability and energy efficiency of our HVAC equipment, while reducing future utility costs and the need for ongoing repair expenses to maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.

PHASE TWO $1.7 million
Renovate Outdoors · Refresh Worship Center · Rename Heritage

ABOUT THE CALVARY HOPE CENTER

Phase Two includes renaming the Heritage Medical Building (purchased by Calvary in 2005) and linking its identity with our church by calling it the CALVARY HOPE CENTER with updated signage, a refreshed exterior, and a renewed focus for future ministry.

This space will be utilized as an outward-facing expression for our community of the hope found in Jesus as we seek to meet the needs of our neighbors by partnering with nonprofits doing good for God’s kingdom.
